How to Use Deluge. Deluge is an open-source, cross-platform torrent client that is absolutely free. As a torrent client, it enables users to share data over a peer-to-peer network, which relies on users who have the files hosted on Software Firewall - The permission should be set to allow TCP and UDP in both directions. You can check these options for guides: The help file of your software firewall is the best place to look I wan't Deluge to create the files that get created by Deluge with rwx to owner and group an --- for "others" This is cuz we modifies the files through network shares and the group "users" doesn't get write permissions wich causes alil trouble, the problem would be solved if Deluge creates theese files with rwx for the groups part. Sickrage is probably unraring the torrents in the same folder as the torrent is downloaded in. Deluge probably doesn't have permission to delete the files because it didn't put the file there. I had this problem with deluge and I fixed it by changing the folder that sickrage uses as a temporary extraction folder. Example: I download a torrent with Deluge and then try to rename and move the file through SMB, but it won't let me. So I used Krusader to rename and move the file without any problems. Later I figured out that I could run the "new permissions" on the share, then afterwards SMB wasn't a problem, but each time there is a new file, same problem If I put read permission for others users via chmod (rwxrwxr--), my TV plays all files correctly. I don't know what changed from multimedia as mounted directory to real directory, but I want to avoid applying permissions with chmod to all files downloaded by Deluge. NTFS is not a "proper" Linux file system - it does not support traditional Unix permissions. Because of that, you need to specify an option when mounting the partition which tells the ntfs driver which permissions to report for all files and directories. See this question for more details. OK, I figured it out. The issue was related to folder permissions on the /home/rob/.config/deluge folder. I ran this command $ sudo chmod -R 777 \deluge from the .config directory and now it is running like a trooper, torrenting Ubuntu Studio for my next experiment on Virtual Box. w00t! Here is an example with the user list at the top and the rights at the bottom: Permissions are also either inherited or not. Normally in Windows, every file or folder gets their permissions from the parent folder. Edit: I worked it out by giving the sc-download user group permissions to the folder. This might not be a solution for everyone but it does for me since Deluge it the only package I use on my DS211+. But if anyone knows the perfect solution, give Deluge specific permissions to the folder, feel free to share :-) Sonarr - permissions issues? downloaded items staying in queue. Software. I'm using Sonarr 2.0.0.2850 on Arch, and downloading with NZBGet.
